Ivan Chai is a traditional Russian herbal tea made from the leaves of Rosebay willowherb (Chamaenerion angustifolium).

With its rich mineral and vitamin composition, willow-herb makes for a healthy, caffeine-free tea that does not contain harmful uric acid or oxalate. Ivan tea has a delicate taste with a hint of dried fruit, a delicious aroma and the same shade of colour as ordinary tea.

It is both tonic and nutritive.

Fireweed is an excellent source of dietary fibre, vitamin A, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, magnesium, and manganese. Rosebay willowherb is said to have more vitamin C than rosehips (which have up to 8 times more vitamin C than lemons).

The process of making tea includes several stages:  1. Harvesting,  2. Wilting, 3. Rolling or grinding, 4. Fermentation 5. Drying. The fermentation process removes the acidic, freshly cut grass aroma, replacing it with a floral, fruity fragrance that is pleasant and flavorful.

No pesticides, chemical fertilizers or GMOs were used in the creation of this product. No artificial food colouring, flavours, preservatives or flavour enhancers. Harvested and packaged by hand.
